Serious accident with a bus from Serbia to Greece – four dead, 49 injured (video)


Dozens were injured and four died in a traffic accident involving a Serbian bus and two cars on a national road in Greece.

On Sunday morning, leaving Greece, at the 522nd kilometer of ΠΑΘΕ in the municipality of Paionia Kilkis, a Serbian tourist bus collided with two vehicles. Near the village of Aspros, a head-on collision occurred between a car with four passengers and a bus with 81 people on board.

As a result, all passengers in the car died, and the double-decker tourist bus drove off the highway, fell into a ditch 2.5 meters deep and overturned. A car traveling in the direction of Evzonus was also involved in an accident, which crashed into a bus from behind.

There were 78 Serbian tourists on the bus, 23 passengers were taken by ambulance to Kilkis hospitals. Rescuers reported that 42 people were injured in the accident with injuries of varying severity, including two children aged 6 and 9 years.

Accident, clarifies newsbeast.gr, took place on the 521st kilometer of the Athens-Thessaloniki national road near the village of Polikastro, near the border with North Macedonia.
