Evia: Confessions of a 20-year-old arsonist

A 20-year-old boy from Karisto, who was arrested and confessed to organizing five arsons in South Evia, ended up in prison.

In an interview with STAR channel journalists, he admitted that he set the fire, and then posted the corresponding posts on Facebook. “I did this to see where the fire brigade would come and put out the fire,” he replied to a question put to him.

According to him, the last time he used a lighter (to start a fire) was on August 24. “I decided to confess what happened and decided to completely stop doing it,” the guy said, emphasizing that he was afraid of the punishment that threatens him.

“I wrote on Facebook that there is now burning. I described exactly where that place was, told the firemen and went to put out the fire,” the arrested man emphasized, saying that he was sorry and understood his mistake. He asked for forgiveness to the victims, saying that he apologizes to those whom he offended.”
