Woman faints while standing in line to receive taautotite

Unimaginable excitement has been going on for the past 24 hours at the door of the police departments dealing with the issuance of identity cards (tavtotit).

For example, in the police station of Heraklion crowded a lot of citizens. The stampede for the taautotites turned into “a massacre.” One of the women became ill and fainted. The lady was immediately called an ambulance and the doctors recommended that she go with them to the hospital. However, she categorically refused, citing the fact that “she would lose her place (serial number) in the queue.” Well, what can I say!

In particular, according to Cretapost, today, on Monday 28/08, a woman, standing in line, lost consciousness in front of frightened people around her.

The policemen placed her in a shady place and called an EKAB ambulance. Medics arrived at the scene, placed the victim in an ambulance, where they gave her first aid. After that, the lady, “perking up” wished to return to the queue, and take her place there.

The queues in Heraklion are reportedly so long that citizens spend the night in cars so as not to “drop out” of the line. That is, many people go to queue at the door of the police station since the night. They sleep in the car in order to wake up in the morning and be one of the first to get in position in time to receive an identity card.

It is worth noting that, according to Cretapost, only about 50 citizens can serve in police stations daily.
