The upward trend in liquid fuel prices continues. Those who have enjoyed a vacation or are still on it have already felt this fact “on their skin”.
And although the situation in the fuel market has been explosive, especially in recent weeks, the government does not discuss any measures or concessions in favor of consumers.
Gas station prices remain highwhich places a heavy burden on consumers as well as vacationers in the last summer months.
According to the latest data, the average price of gasoline is 1.9 euros per liter, according to the Price Observatory of the Ministry of Development (as of August 19). It is characteristic that in 26 prefectures of the country the average price exceeds 2 euros per liter, and in the rest it approaches it. In fact, in no region does the price fall below 1.9 euros per liter. The lowest prices in Thessaloniki and Attica.
Traditionally, the highest prices are observed in the Cyclades and Dodecanese – 2.2 euros and 2.1 euros per liter, respectively. At some gas stations on the islands, the price exceeds 2.3 euros per liter and approaches 2.4 euros.
Compared to the beginning of the year, the price of gasoline increased by 7.8%, while compared to June 1, the increase is 6.4%.
