Names of Croatian ultras arrested for murder of Greek published


The names of the first arrested Croatian hooligans accused of the Nea Philadelphia incidents that led to the murder of Michalis Katsouris have been made public.

According to the Croatian website Jutarnji List, which covers events in Greece after last Monday’s attack and murder of 29-year-old Michalis, “Tomislav T., whose family lives in Zagreb, is one of those who were arrested in Athens, being in the” third category “according to the list of dangerous fans compiled by the Croatian authorities”. As for the three Greeks, according to the same information, they are organized fans of Panathinaikos, two of them were arrested, and the third remains at large, although his name appears in the case file. The first of them is 27 years old and is said to have recently caught the attention of the authorities: his name appears in a case filed on March 9 into the activities of a group that committed robberies, thefts and attacks on associations. The group was allegedly led by a woman who, according to the terms of the case, is in prison.

This 27-year-old is the second organized PAO fan to be included in a group of 13 people who came to the attention of the police investigating the murder of a 29-year-old AEK fan. He has also reportedly been involved in sports violence incidents in the past.

The third Greek, whose identity, apart from his name, does not appear in the case file, apparently made posts on social networks about his presence and participation in the deadly action.
