64-year-old American Peggy Jones was attacked by two dangerous creatures that literally fell on her from the sky.
On that day, July 25, a woman and her husband were finishing work in the courtyard of their house, says The New York Times. Suddenly, from somewhere above, a snake fell on top of her and swiftly wrapped itself around Peggy’s arm. She screamed in horror and called for help. The American remembers:
“I immediately screamed and started waving my arm to throw off the snake. I shouted: “Snake! Jesus help me, please Jesus help me!”
But that was not all. The snake hissed, tightened its grip on Ms. Jones’s hand and tried to get to her face. And at that moment, a hawk fell like a stone from the sky and began to take the lost prey from the woman’s hand, mercilessly scratching it with its claws and hitting it with its beak. Finally, he managed to “win back” his dinner from Peggy, and with a snake in his beak, the hawk flew away, leaving the woman in a state of shock.
Most likely, the newspaper writes, the bird flew over the yard and dropped its prey. The woman says that the bird managed to grab the snake only on the fourth attempt. She admitted that she feels like the luckiest person in the world – after all, she managed to survive two attacks of dangerous creatures at the same time.
At the same time, it was only by a miracle that Peggy managed to avoid a snake bite – snake venom was found on her glasses in the hospital. Doctors carefully examined Jones, but found no signs of a snake bite.
