Nea Philadelphia: the bloody outcome of the Zagreb fans’ attack "Dynamo" to the fans of Athens AEK (video)

A 29-year-old AEK fan died after being attacked by Dinamo Zagreb hooligans near the stadium in Nea Filadelphia. The Greek police made 96 arrests.

A group of 150-200 initially aggressive Croats attacked AEK Athens fans, including women and children. Croatian hooligans came to the stadium with obvious intentions, which were evidenced by the manner of their movement, and “equipment”. They attacked with knives, folding clubs, sticks, flares, and anything else that could be used in such incidents.

Eight people were taken to the Ερυθρός Σταυρός hospital, including a minor girl. Three of them are Croats, also injured in the clashes.

The Greek police carried out 96 detentions, which turned into arrests: 88 people (82 Croats, two Greeks, an Austrian, an Albanian, a Bosnian and a German) are being held in ΓΑΔΑ, 8 wounded detainees are being treated at the Red Cross (5 Greeks and 3 Croats) .

A lot of questions arise about what the Greek police did to avoid the massacre – after all, everyone knew about 150-200 Croatian fans. The official statement says that the young AEK fan died in the hospital, where he was taken with stab wounds. He received multiple stab wounds and reportedly suffered damage to an artery in his arm, writes newsbeast.gr.

AEK left the meeting in anger, blaming Dinamo Zagreb for this and ΕΛΑΣ. The match of the third qualifying round of the Champions League between AEK and Dinamo Zagreb has been postponed by decision of UEFA.
