In the area of Veliki, not far from the city of Larisa (Greece), a dead young dolphin was found on the sea beach.

According to onlarissa.gr, on Friday morning, August 4, a vacationer who arrived at the beach saw a marine life frozen in an unnatural pose. The dolphin probably lost his bearings and threw himself onto a rocky shore in the Veliki region.

The length of the dolphin is one and a half meters, and his death occurred under unknown circumstances.

Dolphins are very intelligent mammals and they don’t just wash ashore. In the event of any illness or injury, the dolphin begins to look for support under itself so as not to drown, as it understands that it does not have the strength to continue the movement.

On the shore you can meet mainly sick dolphins, which have severe metabolic disorders. Often on land you can also see dolphins, which, most likely, have lost their nursing mother.

As experts recommend, a dolphin found on the shore should never be pushed back into the water or left unattended, since a mammal thrown onto land most likely needs specialized medical care. In this case, the found dolphin must be reported to the competent services (environmentalists, coast guard).
