Fire tornado in Rhodes (video)

The explosion of the fire front in Rhodes, the causes of the extreme behavior of the fire.

The video published by meteo clearly shows what is happening on the fire front of the popular and beloved island of Rhodes. As stated in publications CNN Greece, footage shows the creation of a fire tornado and an explosion on the island. As the newspaper notes, “the whirlwind of air carries away the flames, while the flames descending down the slope are sent to the place where the fiery whirlwind, similar to a tornado, is created.”

The satellite image previously showed heavy smoke carried by the north/northwest wind, which is typical evidence of intense burning due to the very dry and hot conditions prevailing in the area. The fire explosion that took place on Saturday July 22 is the result of presumed flammability, propagation speed, thermal intensity and difficulty in control.
