A heat-exhausted vulture landed in the middle of a highway

Today, July 22, a vulture was found in the middle of a road in Crete, possibly affected by the heat, leaving wildlife at risk from passing cars.

The incident occurred in the area of Linoperamaton (Heraklion, Crete). Drivers, as soon as they saw a vulture on the pavement, stopped and gave other passing cars a signal to slow down in order to protect the bird.

The vulture looked exhausted, exhausted from the heat and dehydration.

Motorists gave water to the bird, and in front of their eyes the vulture “perked up”, regained consciousness and spread its wings. Police and authorities have been notified that the wildlife is in danger, according to ERT.

The incident reminds us how the heat affects not only people, but also animals, as well as how much they need our help in the midst of real hell.

The situation today is difficult due to the abnormal heat “Cleon”, but tomorrow, on Saturday, the thermometer will rise even higher, up to + 45-48 ° С.
