The Greek island of Paros retains its top spot in this year’s Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards. Travel magazine readers voted it one of the best destinations in Europe, ranked 3rd in the ranking.

According to the corresponding publication in the publication, the islands were evaluated according to the following criteria:

Madeira, a group of islands in the Atlantic Ocean owned by Portugal, topped the list of Travel+Leisure readers’ favorites. And in second place is the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Paros stands out in the preferences of Travel +Leisure readers, who ranked it #3. As for the ranking of the Greek islands, the list was formed as follows:

  • Paros (3rd place) with a score of 92.47.

  • Mykonos (13th) with a score of 86.74.
  • Corfu and the Ionian Islands (14th) with a score of 86.32.

The Mayor of Paros, Markos Kovaios, said: “Following a recent survey we conducted with Trip Advisor, Paros has collected extremely good feedback on all levels of service from its own visitors. And the publication Tavel+Leisure, whose readers are foreigners, also with their vote cast for Paros, secured the great success of our island in terms of popularity and recognition.

However, in addition to votes of readers of the world famous magazine, other media also continue to praise Paros. The most recent review was from the Spanish travel media eldiario.es, which recommended Paros in an article, noting: “If you are traveling with children, Paros is one of the islands you must visit. The reasons are different.” As noted in the article, “this direction is slightly cheaper than the others. When expenses are multiplied by two, three, or four people, things get more complicated, especially if you’re traveling with friends or family. So that’s a good reason to choose him.” The publication also mentions that here the visitor can see “more authentic and less touristy Greece“.
