The vast majority of refugees from Ukraine who flee the war in Europe plan to return home.
Such results were demonstrated by a survey of the United Nations Refugee Agency, writes edition “Strana”: 76% of the polled Ukrainians who are in the countries EU and Moldova, announced their plans to permanently return to their homeland. Those of them who are in the countries of Europe neighboring Ukraine have higher hopes of returning home than those who were forced to leave for more distant countries of the European continent – 71% and 57%, respectively.
During the war, 39% of refugees traveled temporarily to Ukraine – such trips help people keep in touch with their families and finally decide on their return, according to the United Nations.
Earlier, the UN reported that more than half of the children of Ukrainian refugees do not go to Polish schools.
