New attack on the Crimean bridge: facts, versions, details (supplemented)

This morning, July 17, at about 04:20, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, announced on his Telegram channel about the state of emergency on the Crimean bridge and the traffic stop on it. He did not elaborate on the nature of what happened.

Later on the incident reported TASS agency, referring to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation: the roadway was damaged on the flights from the Crimean side. According to the ministry, the structures of the spans themselves are on their supports, they were not damaged.

As a result of the incident, a man and a woman from the Belgorod region were killed, said the head of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. Their minor daughter suffered, her condition is assessed as moderate. The authorities reported that the child was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury, the girl was being prepared for transportation to the Krasnodar Territory by air ambulance.

Igor Mikhailichenko, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, left for the scene. The leaders and investigators of the Crimean Central Committee of the Investigative Committee also went there.

The NAC said that a terrorist attack had been carried out on the Crimean Bridge. According to him, the attack was carried out by the Ukrainian special services. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the fact of a terrorist act on the Crimean bridge. Mishustin instructed the Khusnullin commission to deal with the consequences of the attack. Slutsky said that the collective West is responsible for the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge.

Russian telegram channels write that there were two explosions on the Crimean bridge at night. Two flights damaged. One in the direction of Taman was destroyed, the second – in the direction of Kerch – sank. This information has not yet been officially confirmed.

Russian media write that fragments of jet skis were found in the area of ​​​​pillar 145 of the Crimean bridge. The Russians assume they have been upgraded into UAVs with explosives. “They go to the target almost under water, looking out to the surface only a few centimeters,” write Russian publics.
