A 23-year-old man from Rhodes was arrested a few hours ago for raping a 20-year-old tourist from Ireland in Faliraki.
The arrest followed a young woman’s complaint. On Monday evening, June 26, she was in a bar and left at dawn with an unknown man. After that, there was a failure in her memory – she woke up only a few hours later, without underwear, phone and purse, informs rodiaki.gr.
Memory began to gradually return to her only by Wednesday evening, and the Irish woman reported the incident to the Archangelos police station. Using the information received, the police identified the young man who is accused of rape by the victim.
He is arrested and will appear before the prosecutor of Rhodes for further proceedings, accompanied by his lawyers.
