Ellinaras rolled the car down the stairs

Early in the morning of Thursday, May 11, a citizen passing by the Cultural Center in Heraklion (Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο Ηρακλείου) witnessed an incredible spectacle.

As you can see in the photos of Cretalive.gr, a car drove into the center up the stairs! The circumstances under which the vehicle was found on the steps are not specified, as well as whether the driver sustained any injuries. The police started investigating the incident.

A video posted by neakriti.gr shows minute by minute how the car ended up in this position. Apparently, the driver of the car turned to the stairs to overtake another car, but probably miscalculated and ended up on the steps. After the incident, the driver got out of the car and fled the scene.

According to local media, the incident occurred around 21:00 on Wednesday, the driver of the car is 23 years old.
