Forensic medical examination: what did the baby die in Arta

The cause of death of the little one in Arta, forgotten by father in the car in the parking lot, there was a heat stroke, lack of oxygen and pulmonary edema – the boy spent almost 8 (!) Hours in the car.

These are the results of a forensic medical examination after the autopsy of the baby. He died painfully from suffocation, as he could not breathe in a closed car and at a particularly high temperature.

According to the investigation, the father took the child from the house around 7 am. He put him in the car seat in the back seat with the intention of taking him to the nursery. They pulled him out of the car at about 3:00 pm. Experts emphasize that these hours were terrible for the baby: the air temperature in the street became too high by noon, it became very hot and stuffy in the cabin of the car heated by the sun.

Shortly after 2:30 pm, the mother contacted her husband, but it was too late. The child was found unconscious and foaming at the mouth. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors unsuccessfully tried to revive him.

On Saturday, May 13 at 12 noon, the funeral of the unfortunate baby who died at the age of 5.5 months will take place. However, the child must first be baptized, thereby further intensifying the pain of the family that lost their only angel, writes CNN Greece.
