Police have arrested four teenagers for the gang rape of a 22-year-old woman in the central Greek city of Tyrnavos. The parents of the criminals have also been arrested, and the police are looking for the fifth member of the group.
According to Mega TV, the police arrested four teenagers aged 16-17. Three of them were allegedly involved in the rape, and the fourth, reportedly 14 years old, filmed the rape on his smartphone camera.
All those arrested are Greek and are expected to appear before the Larissa prosecutor on Monday. The victim is expected to be examined by a medical expert on Tuesday(!). According to state broadcaster ERT, the victim is suffering from mental problems.
Reportedly, the detainees admitted the fact of sexual intercourse, but they claim that everything happened with her consent. The alleged gang rape took place on Saturday 6 May when a young woman was leaving Tirnavos Bazaar to return to Larissa.
With reference to information cnngreece reports that two minors grabbed the victim and dragged her to an indoor gym. They then called in two more who took part in the rape, as well as a fifth person who recorded the heinous act on his mobile phone.
A fifth teenager has not yet been arrested and is wanted by the authorities for complicity in the rape. Parents of teenagers arrested for neglecting the upbringing of minors.
