Formerly Berlin authorities banned the use of Russian and Ukrainian flags at the Soviet memorials in Treptow Park, Tiergarten and Schönholzer Heide on May 8 and 9. Near the monuments, the performance of military and military songs and the wearing of St. George ribbons were banned, but this ban does not apply to diplomats and veterans of World War II.
Two days later, a Berlin court partially lifted the city police’s ban on displaying Russian flags and symbols, which could be May 9th. In particular, this refers to the time of the march of the Immortal Regiment.
The Reichstag building or the Reichstag (Reichstagsgebäude (inf.) – “imperial assembly building”) is a historic building in Berlin, where in 1894-1933 the German state body of the same name, the Reichstag of the German Empire and the Reichstag of the Weimar Republic, met, is located on Republic Square.
Since 1999, the Bundestag has been housed in the reconstructed Reichstag building. The building is the most visited parliament building in the world.
