ABOUT "Europe Day" in Ukraine and the visit of Ursula von der Leyen to Kyiv

On May 9, at 00:01 Kyiv time, the Act of Unconditional Surrender of Germany came into force, putting an end to the Great Patriotic War.
No one could have imagined just 10 years ago that it would be forbidden to lay flowers at the monuments in Ukraine, which gave millions of lives for the sake of victory. No one could imagine that there would be no monuments to which these flowers could be laid. It would never fit into anyone’s head that in the villages the locals would enthusiastically demolish monuments on the graves of soldiers, their own grandfathers and great-grandfathers, which would come to such cretinism.
That during the demolition of the monument on the graves of soldiers in Poland, ours, whose ancestors also died in this country, will smile. It so happened that the Ukrainian SSR was the second in terms of losses among the republics of the Union in that war and lost 10 million only in those killed.
It just so happened that Australia, which, according to Zelensky, “also forged victory”, lost 20 thousand. And Romania, which until 1944 actively fought with the USSR, and whose soldiers distinguished themselves by cruelty, also “won” and also wants “historical justice”, at least that’s what its leadership says about May 9th.
Giving up victory in order to… what? Get a “friendly pat on the shoulder” from Ursula?
I do not think that all this absurdity, idiotic, neither to the village nor to the city “day of Europe” instead of Victory Day, will ever be cured. Decades will pass and generations. But one day the descendants will say: “Damn, what nonsense was going on, this is the victory of Ukraine, because we did so much to make it happen.”
And again the descendants will calmly lay flowers and rejoice that this day was. Day 9 May 1945. Happy holiday.
PS In the photo, Ursula von Der Leyen arrived in Kyiv to celebrate Europe Day on May 9th. The country of Ursula von der Leyne surrendered to Hitler in 18 days. For her, victory is not a holiday, of course. She would like to forget about that war as soon as possible. But what kind of a donkey do you have to be in order to continue to lick ass with this “day of Europe”, the country that won the war.
