The attacker entered an apartment located in Kalamaria in Thessaloniki, and then arrived in Athens with “large booty”, where he was subsequently discovered and captured by the police.
In the area of Attica prefecture, after a corresponding investigation by the police, a 35-year-old man was identified and arrested, who emptied an apartment in Kalamaria, stealing 300,000 euros, jewelry worth about 100,000 euros and 3 gadgets (tablet).
According to the relevant police statement, the burglar is a 35-year-old foreigner, who was discovered after the cooperation of the law enforcement agencies of the Department of Kalamaria with the police from the Attica Crime Prevention and Suppression Department.
The burglary, according to the relevant complaint, took place in November 2022. A thief entered the apartment of a 33-year-old woman through a broken window, stealing money and jewelry. A search was conducted in the apartment where the accused lived, during which the following were found and seized:
- Lots of door keys from different companies.
- Machine for making keys.
- Master keys.
- Mobile phones that were used to commit the crime.
A small amount of drugs was also found. The detainee was brought before the competent prosecutor.
