Three robbers managed to get as much as 80 euros in the house of a 90-year-old man who was severely beaten!
“He grabbed me by the throat to strangle me,” the elderly man recalls the incident with horror. He was alone in his house in Chalkis, when two women and a man entered there in order to “profit”. They asked the old man for a glass of water, and when he followed her, they attacked her from behind. The man says:
“He pushed me and hit me with his fists. I said that I would give all the money I have to them. They knocked out my teeth. I went for water, and he beat me and threw me here (shows the room where he was beaten . Note ed.) Here he threw me and beat me. He grabbed my neck to strangle me. I called for help, but no one came.”
According to police, the attackers were gypsies. When the old man lost consciousness from the blows, the trio searched the house and found 80 euros, after which they retreated.
