Hidden camera found in Airbnb apartment in Thessaloniki

An Airbnb owner recorded intimate moments of his customers with a hidden camera installed in his rented apartment.

A hidden camera was found in a short-term rental apartment in Thessaloniki. The 62-year-old property owner is accused of setting up a recording device and illegally recording personal moments of his clients.

The lawsuit was filed by a man who rented an apartment with his company. He accidentally found a tiny camera inside the watch, so he immediately contacted the police. A personal data breach case has been initiated against the owner. In addition, the possibility of trade (distribution) of recorded material is being investigated.

According to the Mega channel, a company of young people from the Peloponnese rented a room for 4 days. Since one of the gadgets ran out of batteries, the man decided to “borrow” and “climbed” into the clock hanging on the wall. When he opened the back of the walkers, he found that they had a USB port on the back. Then he realized that “something is wrong here.”

A hidden camera was located in the watch, set to record 6 hours in a row. The company realized that the apartment has surveillance cameras that record everything. The guy immediately informed security, and the watch was confiscated. The case file will be handed over to the competent prosecutor.
