The Greek invented an incredible way so that cars would not park at the entrance to his garage

The Thessaloniki resident mobilized all his imagination to “repel drivers” who constantly parked at the entrance to the garage, blocking the movement of his personal vehicle.

Given that finding a parking space is a daily “calvary” for most drivers, many decide to avoid the endless hassle, parking your car in not quite legal places. Some park in two rows, others climb onto the sidewalks, and there are many who “risk” to park their car at the entrance and exit of the parking lot of an apartment building.

It seems that a resident of Thessaloniki, who decided to stop arbitrariness, faced the latter phenomenon more than once. He placed in front of the entrance to his garage … stairs (!). In order that no one could move it, he “stuck” a pillar into the asphalt and tied a ladder to it, and even secured the “masterpiece” with a lock. According to ERT, this method is, of course, illegal, but no one intervened in the situation.

It is recalled that parking in front of the entrance is prohibited, as well as “temporary or permanent occupation of part of the carriageway by structures or obstacles” (Article 48 of the Code of Civil Procedure). The street in front of our house or the apartment building in which we live is a public street and therefore it is forbidden to occupy it. Anyone who does not comply with the above provision is punished, in accordance with the C.O.K., with an administrative fine of 400 euros.
