Channel 4’s British show Naked Education, a program where adults strip naked in front of teenagers, received thousands of hate mail in a week.
The British have been outraged by the promotion of body positivity in a television program, which the creators present as a representation of the “positive body”. Two programs have already premiered.
Last week’s episode was an attempt to show what bodies look like with “extra” body hair – for this, a group of adults went completely naked. The second program became even more scandalous, it was devoted to male bodies and the analysis of the size of the penis.
The off-the-wall show first sparked online fury, and then UK broadcast regulator Ofcom received official complaints. There are four more episodes already prepared ahead, but several viewers have already called for the show to be taken off the air. Although all six episodes are available online.
Conservative MP Jonathan Gullis criticized the show and said stripping adults naked in front of schoolchildren is “not how responsible sex education should be.”
