Car theft: new coin trick

The most ordinary coins have become a “tool” in the hands of car thieves, with which they break locks and freely enter the salon.

According to international media reports, criminals put a coin on the outside handle of the front or rear door of the car. Thus, when the driver activates the central locking, all doors except the one with the coin inserted are locked. Once the driver of the vehicle is out of the car, would-be thieves can easily do their job, whether it’s stealing a car or taking valuables out of the passenger compartment. It is said that this phenomenon occurs mainly in the parking lots of shopping centers or supermarkets, as in this way they do not arouse suspicion from other drivers, since a slight opening of the door allows them to impersonate the owner of the vehicle.

The best thing any vehicle owner can do to “protect” themselves is the following: after locking your vehicle, check for… a suspicious coin in the doorknob and, of course, “check” that all doors are securely locked.
