On Friday, April 7, at about 8 pm, there was an accident in Tavros – a 16-year-old teenager, who was dragged by the train, received serious injuries and was intubated in the hospital.
The incident occurred on the railway tracks near the intersection of Konstantinopoulos and Mithimni (Κωνσταντινουπόλεως και Μηθύμνης). According to ΕΛΑΣthe minor was near the railway crossing and, when the restrictive barrier was lowered, entered behind it, ignoring the warning whistle of the person in charge and the sound signals of the approaching train, as a result of which he was dragged by the train.
6 firefighters arrived at the scene with two cars, the police and an ambulance ΕΚΑΒ, who took the teenager to the hospital Τζάνειο. His state of health is assessed as serious. The teenager has injuries all over his body, he is intubated, doctors run tests for fear of internal bleeding. He also underwent a CT scan.
