Forbes magazine has published an updated list of the richest people in the world for 2023, which includes Ivan Savvidis.

The owner of the Greek PAOK and the Russian Agrocom, Ivan Savvidis, according to Forbes magazine, is firmly on the list of the richest people in the world for 2023 with a total fortune of $ 1.7 billion.

The presence of the expatriate businessman and PAOK owner on the list of the world’s billionaires is not surprising, the new element in relation to 2022 is due to the increase he recorded in this list.

In last year’s Forbes magazine list, the PAOK owner was in 1818th place with a net worth of about $1.6 billion, which he had consistently had over the previous two years, while this year’s list shows him 93 positions higher, in particular, in 1725th place with a fortune of $1.7 billion.

In Russia, at the end of 2022, Ivan Savvidi took 56th place in the list of 88 Russian billionaires. At the same time, over the year, the businessman managed to climb 27 positions at once, according to the results of 2021, he got only 83rd place.

The assets of the Savvidi family company were replenished in February 2022 by the Hyatt Regency Rostov-Don Plaza hotel. Also, according to the publication, in June 2021, Savvidi gained control over the operator of the Greek seaport of Thessaloniki – his Belterra acquired shares in Terminal Link SAS and became the sole owner of the former syndicate, which included two more companies, German and French. Savvidi’s share in the port itself rose to 71.9%. In addition, in the fall of 2022, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Rostov Region allowed the “chief Greek of Russia” to buy two more agricultural complexes.
