Weather: Updated emergency bulletin from ΕΜΥ. Posts 112 in Thessaloniki, Imathia, Pella, Pieria

The National Weather Service has updated its emergency weather bulletin with the latest data. ILINA is expected to go wild in Greece today, Monday April 3rd, and tomorrow, Tuesday April 4th.

Meteorologists predict heavy rains and thunderstorms, frequent lightning, hail, strong winds – especially in the Aegean.

Today Heavy rain and thunderstorms expected

  1. In the Ionian Sea, Epirus, western and central Macedonia, western and central Sterea, Thessaly, western and southern Peloponnese. Until the early evening in the northern regions of Thessaly and central Macedonia, the phenomena will be especially intense.
  2. Late evening in eastern Macedonia.
  3. In the evening hours in Thrace, on the northern and eastern islands of the Aegean and in the Dodecanese.

The phenomena in the Ionian Sea, Epirus, western Macedonia, western and central Sterea, Thessaly and western Peloponnese will weaken in the evening hours.

Tomorrow local heavy rain and thunderstorms expected:

  • in eastern Macedonia, Thrace, the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese;
  • before noon in central Macedonia;
  • in the morning hours in the Cyclades, Crete, southern Evia and southern Peloponnese.

A gusty south/southeast wind of 7-8 points is forecast on Monday in the eastern Aegean, early Tuesday morning in the Kastelorizo ​​area.

Today at noon message 112, with a warning about dangerous weather phenomena (severe storms, gusty winds), were received by residents in Thessaloniki, Imathia, Pella, Pieria. It highlights: “Limit travel to absolutely necessary and follow the directions of the authorities.”
