Housing auctions: the foundation seized the house of the former OEK, which is not subject to confiscation

The Fund has put up for auction the house of the former OEK organization, which is not subject to confiscation, according to the information of the “Hour of Society” program on the MEGA channel.

Anti Vulgari described the situation with funds and auctions as “Sodom and Gomorrah.” Lawyer Ariadni Nouka spoke on the same program and explained why the house cannot be taken away from the tenants. The lawyer also stressed that an extrajudicial decision was sent to cancel the arrest imposed on the property.

Ms. Eleni, the daughter of the owners of the house, appeared on the show and talked about the loan they took out. According to her, the loan was not a mortgage (taken for housing), but received for “business”. The amount was 7000 euros. Ms. Nouka noted: “In working capital, borrowers initially do not pay capital. Every month they only pay interest, and over time they pay back the principal, the capital.”

However, the foundation confiscated the worker’s apartment and put it up for auction. Ms. Eleni recounted the incident and explained, “My parents have owned this house since 1987. They took out a loan to buy an agricultural machine. My father took the loan, and my mother was the guarantor. It was a small loan of 6500-7000 euros. However, we were unable to repay the amount on time, as a result, “the debt was sold” to the funds, after which the housing was put up for auction. At the auction, the apartment was put up for 29,000 euros, but in the correspondence that I received in February of this year, a year later, the property was valued at 39,000 euros. The housing was put up for auction in October 2022, but there were no applicants for the apartment.”
