A business owner in Caminia attacked a foreigner in his house, the victim is in the hospital.
The attack was described as racist – the businessman, striking, shouted out the appropriate phrases. After his arrest, the assailant stated that he had a serious disagreement with two of his employees.
Early on Tuesday morning, the employer visited the home of his employees. However, they were absent, and the man decided to start solving the problems that had arisen with … their roommate. At first, the case was limited to racist insults, then threats followed, and then the businessman took his mobile phone from the victim and left the apartment.
When the victim tried to follow him to the main entrance to the building, the man started insulting him again and then attacked the foreigner with his fists, hitting him on the head. Pressing him against the glass of the front door, the businessman injured him with broken glass.
The foreigner lost consciousness and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. After filing a complaint with the police, the location of the businessman was established. He was arrested and taken to the Prosecutor’s Office of Piraeus (Εισαγγελέα Πρωτοδικών Πειραιά). He is charged with dangerous bodily harm, threats, damage to property, insult, theft and disturbing the peace – in crimes committed with racist characteristics, writes CNN Greece.
