Former US President Donald Trump wrote on social networks that his arrest is scheduled for Tuesday and called on the American nation to protest.
The former president claims that he will be arrested on March 21 as part of an investigation into financial fraud. The corresponding statement appeared on Trump’s Truth Social social network.
Trump said he obtained this information through “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. He did not give any details about possible charges, but called on his supporters to protest.
“Our nation is now third world and dying. The American dream is dead! The radical left anarchists stole our choice of president, and with it, the heart of our country. American patriots are arrested and imprisoned like animals, while criminals and leftists are allowed to rampage in the streets, killing and burning without any punishment. Millions come to us through the open border. Crime and inflation are destroying our very way of life.”
The Manhattan prosecutor’s office did not give official comments.
Trump is accused of violating campaign finance rules. According to investigators, Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen paid $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels, who was going to publicly speak about an alleged affair with a politician. These expenses were then allegedly illegally compensated from the Trump campaign fund. Cohen himself received three years in prison for this in December 2018.
At the same time, all violations of the law by Biden, such as the story with the laptop of his drug addict son or with secret documents found in Biden’s house, do not receive legal action.
On the eve of many American media wrotethat Trump could be formally charged within the next week. It is expected that after a formal arrest, the former president will be brought before a judge, after which he will be released on bail. In this regard, CNN reported, law enforcement agencies in New York worked out interagency cooperation for a week in order to prevent possible unrest in the city. Interestingly, Trump accused the head of the prosecutor’s office, which plans the arrest, of receiving money from Soros.
