On Wednesday (8/3) another body of a victim of a train accident was identified in Tempi, this is the 56th death of the 57 victims of the tragedy. According to SKAI, this is an immigrant from Syria whose body was identified using a DNA test.

With identification Syrian immigrant number 56 people died in the accident in Tempi. What remains now is the identification of a young architecture student. According to the girl’s parents, she 100% rode the fateful train. Her parents have reported missing, but so far no DNA sample has been found in the train wreckage that matches the one provided by her parents. The process of identifying the body of the 57th victim of the Tempe train collision is ongoing.

Earlier, forensic scientist Roubini Leontari told MEGA about the difficult task of identification. “The process of identifying and identifying the victims was carried out very methodically, everything is recorded,” she stressed. forensic expert. – There is a family looking for their child and we have no information about them. The wanted girl has not been found, we have no body. 57 victims, this was primary information, because one body was divided into two parts. The police thought they were two different people. Now we have identified 30 men, including an unidentified body, and 26 women, a total of 56 people. But there is also a family that is looking for their child, namely a girl who has not yet been found. I would like to believe that relatives have some kind of object containing her DNA. If there were people at the site of the explosion, no traces of their presence could be found. This is not surprising, since the temperature that was at the site of the fire, according to the fire department, was about 1000-1100 degrees Celsius. Naturally, no biological materials at such a temperature could be preserved in a state suitable for identification.

As Roubini Leontari previously stated, firefighters collected ten bags with body parts of the dead. At the moment, almost all the victims have been identified, but the work has not yet been completed, as evidenced by the announcement of the authorities today about the identification of the body of an immigrant from Syria.

We previously reported that the body was identified by forensic experts 33 year old Bangladeshi citizenwho lived and worked in Greece. The man lived in Greece for about ten years and made a living selling accessories.
