A 50-year-old resident of Glyfada experienced a real nightmare, falling into the hands of robbers who entered her home.
The attackers tied the woman up and gagged her after she told them where the safe with valuables and family heirlooms was located. Most shockingly, the mother was discovered by her two minor children when they returned from school.
In particular, on Friday morning, the bandits managed to get into the apartment on the second floor, where a woman lives with her husband and two children. At this time, her husband was at work, and the children were at school, writes iefimerida.gr.
According to police, the woman opened the door of her house on the second floor at 8:20 am to throw out the trash. At that moment, two criminals with closed features and with knives in their hands immobilized her, wounded her in the forearm and took her to the bedroom. There, she was forced to open all the drawers, as well as a small safe, from which they pulled out jewelry and about 1,000 euros in cash. Then the attackers tied her hands and feet with adhesive tape, gagged her mouth and 20 minutes later, at 8:40 am, disappeared in an unknown direction. In this state, the woman remained until her minor children returned home at 12:45, who released her and notified the authorities.
The investigation is being conducted by the South East Attica Police Department.
