Stray dogs attacked a 3-year-old child when he was walking with his mother to kindergarten. The incident occurred in the town of Almiros (Volos). The mother suffered while trying to protect her son.
Woman talking to TheNewspaper.gr described the incident, saying that she grabbed the baby in her arms and tried to run, but the dogs chased after her, and one of them bit her on the thigh. In addition, the young woman received abrasions and scratches. Nevertheless, mommy somehow managed to drive the dogs away and protect her son.
The victim took the child to a local hospital around 11 am. She herself – with an abrasion on her buttock, a torn jacket – was also sent to the doctor and given an injection for tetanus.
“Stray dogs in Almyros are terrorizing the residents,” the mother complains, describing her experience.
At the Health Center, the child’s wounds were treated and the necessary medicines were administered. In an exclusive interview with TheNewspaper.gr, the mother of the child stressed that she is determined bring the matter to the attention of the authoritiesbecause the attacks by a pack of stray dogs in Almiros are now a daily occurrence that causes serious injuries and terrifies the residents. The woman, in a state of shock, filed a complaint with the municipality and police department of Almyros.
