The NBU explains what to do to those pensioners who receive pensions on a bank card, and its term expires. This issue is especially relevant for those abroad.
The National Bank of Ukraine explained that new cards, instead of those that have expired, can be issued at any branch of your bank. But the problem for many arises when it is impossible to visit a banking institution, in particular, while abroad. In this case, tells napensii.ua., Ukrainian banks provide card renewal procedure for pension payments – in Oschadbank, Privatbank and others.
To determine how this can be done, you should contact the bank – call or email the institution. There are several options for solving the problem:
- reissue the card;
- extend its validity period;
- issue a new card at the foreign branch of the bank, if any.
The main thing is that you must know that pension payment does not stop due to the expiration of the bank card. Banks of Ukraine, in accordance with Art. 1066 of the Civil Code, are obliged:
- accept and credit to the client’s account the funds received by him;
- fulfill the client’s order to transfer and issue the appropriate amounts from the account and perform other operations on the account.
The National Bank of Ukraine informs that in a situation where you were unable to solve the problem with the card when contacting your bank, you can apply to the NBU one of the available ways, writes cxid.info:
