Meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglu talks about when Barbara will cover Attica with snow.
He provided new information about bad weather: thick snow will “cover” Attica. The north wind in the Aegean will blow with a force of 10 Beaufort, blizzards will pass on Euboea, and Barbara will be delayed until Wednesday.
The rapid drop in temperature will begin on Saturday evening, February 4th. And in the morning this day in most parts of Greece will begin with rain. In Attica, the weather is expected to be unstable – showers, thunderstorms, snow on the peaks of more than 700 meters.
But the residents of the country will feel the brunt of the weather on Sunday. Snow is expected from Thessaly to the Peloponnese and the Cyclades. The heaviest snowfalls will take place in Attica, Boeotia and Evia. At the same time, snow storms are expected in Evia and some areas of the northern Cyclades, and in Crete it will snow in the mountainous regions of the island. There will be showers in Chios and Lesvos.
On Monday, February 6, snow will affect the northern islands of the Aegean Sea, and snow showers will fall on Chios and Lesvos. Most of the snow will again be in Attica, Boeotia and Evia.
On Tuesday, February 7, the snow will continue to cover Evia, Attica, Boeotia and the Cyclades with a white cover, heavy snowfalls are expected in the Sporades. And in Crete, the meteorologist promises, there will be a lot of water and snow in the mountains.
On Wednesday, February 8, bad weather will continue. In the same areas where snowfalls and rains have already passed before, similar manifestations of Barbara will be repeated.
