The death of 10-year-old Konstantinos came from an acute attack of myocarditis. The little resident of Volos died within a day, and the doctors could not do anything about it.
According to TheNewspaper.gr, the unfortunate child, who studied at the 1st Special Primary School of Agria (Volos), was admitted to the city hospital on Friday 19/01 with “acute myocarditis”. The nurses and medical staff of the Achillopuleio Children’s Clinic fought to keep him alive, but to no avail.
The boy was living with his family in Kissos Pelion and was taken to the hospital with a high fever. Less than a day later, the child died.
Myocarditis in children is inflammatory disease of the myocardium of various etiologies, which occurs primarily or acts as a complication of other diseases. The causes of pathology are infectious, allergic, toxic and medicinal factors. Symptoms of myocarditis include heart pain, shortness of breath, weakness, and fever.
