Elon Musk tweeted a whole bunch of internal platform documents that prove the unprecedented interference of the leadership of the US Democratic Party in the work of the social network, and it all started back when Republican Donald Trump was president.
It’s amazing, but the sensation did not happen. However, this was to be expected. Everyone already knew about what was happening, and no one was shocked by concrete evidence. Moreover, supporters of the US Democratic Party began to actively attack Elon Musk, exposing him as a real criminal who deserves imprisonment.
The story was about how the social network Twitter did everything to black out the incident with the laptop of the son of Joe Biden Hunter from the information field. Let me remind you that the laptop was sent for repair, and then forgotten there and somehow fell into the hands of journalists who were simply stunned by its contents. There was a complete set – from materials proving the corruption of Hunter Biden, to almost pedophile porn featuring the son of the current US president. Well, the little things – drug use, prostitutes and so on.
Information about this laptop was first published by the New York Post. And then it became a real bomb. Of course, the defense mechanisms of the American Democrats immediately turned on, including all the largest and most authoritative press, but it was difficult to find any explanation for the absolutely disgusting photographs that Hunter Biden’s laptop was full of. Therefore, they did the same as in the case of Hillary Clinton’s mail, shifting the focus from the content to how it fell into the hands of journalists. Like, that’s it and there is a real crime that needs to be investigated. And what is there in the laptop is a second question in general and not particularly significant. Traditionally, the Russians were blamed, but how could it be otherwise? Only all the explanations did not look particularly convincing, and the scandal grew and threatened the US Democratic Party with very strong reputational and political losses.
Then they decided to do it simply – they turned to the administration of the social network Twitter and simply asked for help to hush up the story. And not just asked, but gave specific instructions on what to do and how to do it. They even sent tweets that needed to be deleted, and a link to an article in the New York Post was simply not accepted by Twitter due to technical limitations. It was impossible to post it not only in the feed, but even send it in a personal message.
The scale of the operation was unprecedented. Almost all the top management of the social network participated in it. All the resources of the company were thrown into hushing up the story with Hunter Biden’s laptop. There were also those who disagreed, but they were simply fired, and their accounts on the social network were blocked.
In fact, one of the most powerful censorship devices in the modern world, merciless and all-pervading, was turned on. For censorship, Twitter has a lot of tools, ranging from direct blocking of objectionable profiles to “shadow bans”, when a person seems to be not blocked on a social network, but no one sees his messages, and sometimes the search does not give out his account. There are many such examples. And this is a very effective mechanism that has been used by the administration of the social network over the past years.
Given that all the mainstream media worked for the Democrats in this story, then everything that happened can be considered one of the largest acts of censorship in the modern world. And we still don’t know anything about Facebook, which is even more tightly controlled by the Democrats than Twitter.
This is how all the “democracy is for democrats” jokes became the purest truth. The story is completely Orwellian, worthy of a separate novel in the genre of political thriller. And he would have been successful if all this had not been an open secret.
After all, everyone knows everything very well, and a pile of new evidence is not able to kindle the flames of a fire. Everyone is already used to and perceive such censorship as something normal. it Richard Nixon almost got impeached when it turned out that he was listening to his political rivals, and what they did with the suppression of the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop, although much larger, but … times are different.
American democracy calmly perceives censorship and pressure on the press. And since the same democrats are in power in Greece, it is not surprising that the prime minister, who is accused of hacking phones and listening to the opposition, journalists and even his own ministers, incl. the leadership of the armed forces, calmly remains at his post. An apple, as they say, does not fall far from the tree.
