Ruthless foreign robber arrested after killing elderly woman

From an unidentified country, a “refugee” who seriously injured another elderly woman terrorized the areas of Iliupoli and Dafni.

Bloody robberies took place on November 10 and 28 in these areas. If the foreigner had been deported (according to the standard procedure), or if he had not entered our country at all, then the unfortunate woman would have remained alive. The case was investigated by the South East Attica Police Department. The offender was arrested by police officers of the DIAS group in Iliupoli on the evening of Friday, December 2.

An attacker on stolen motorcycles reportedly took bags from elderly women. He carried out his heinous deed with such cruelty, almost hatred, that one of the victims died of bleeding, and the other was hospitalized with serious injuries. According to ΕΛΑΣ, in the evening hours of November 10, 2022 in Ilioupolis (Attica), an attacker on a motorcycle approached an elderly woman walking along the sidewalk and grabbed her bag. The offender began to frantically pull out the redicule from the hands of the victim, as a result of which the lady fell to the ground. This resulted in severe head injuries from which she died two days later in hospital.

In the evening hours of November 27, 2022, in the Ilioupolis area, a robber stole another motorcycle, which he then used to commit another crime on the morning of November 28. Taking away the bag from an elderly woman, he inflicted a serious injury on her (a fracture of the humerus and bruising of the hip).

The motorcycle was found abandoned in the area of Ilioupolis by the police of the DI.AS team, and the identity of the aggressive hijacker was also established. During the search, the foreigner was found and seized: the clothes he used during the robberies (which was established after watching the video from street surveillance cameras), 53 drug tablets, electronic scales (for packing drugs) and a mobile phone.

The detainee was taken to the prosecutor’s office. Counts it is extremely unlikely that he will be deported after the end of his sentence.
