This morning, in the metropolitan area of Kallithea, the Attica Police Department discovered an establishment where illegal gambling was carried out clandestinely.
During the audit, it was found that 43 people were in the premises, including an interim manager and an employee, against whom a criminal case was initiated, depending on the circumstances, for violation of the laws on gambling and compliance with the inviolability of personal data.
It was found that gaming computers, one-armed bandit machines and card tables were installed in the store to conduct illegal gambling. By order of the owner, video surveillance was carried out behind the premises and everything that happened in the gambling hall was recorded.
During the inspection, the following were found and seized:
- 52 computers,
- 16 cameras and a recorder,
- Cash in the amount of 1549.5 euros,
- 10 slot machines
- 3 card tables,
- electronic roulette (with camera and screen).
The confiscated funds will be placed in the deposit and loan law enforcement fund. The interim manager and the employee with the file filed against them were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office, and the other arrested were temporarily released, by oral order of the authorities.
