Fraudsters robbed the victim of 38 thousand euros

From an unsuspecting resident of Nafpaktos, fraudulently, under the guise of a profitable investment in an electronic platform, the attackers fished out 38 thousand euros.

Cases of fraud are becoming a daily occurrence. This time the victim was a woman from the Nafpaktia region. According to Pelop.gr, an unknown criminal contacted the lady and, pretending to be a foreigner living abroad, under the pretext of a profitable investment in an electronic platform, convinced her to deposit money into some foreign bank accounts. In particular, the victim of fraudsters transferred 38,047 euros from his bank account to a foreign bank in six transactions. Immediately after the money was credited to the scammer’s account, he withdrew the money… and that was it!

A criminal case has been initiated against an unknown criminal on the fact of fraud. The case is being handled by the Nafpaktos Police Department.
