A cruise ship docked in an Australian port has found 800 people infected with the coronavirus.
Already after 5-6 days of a 12-day cruise on the Majestic Princess, a sharp increase in the number of people infected with COVID-19 was recorded. The New South Wales Ministry of Health, according to the channel, has set the third, maximum possible warning level on the ship. He points out that at least 20% of the people on the liner are infected. Before disembarking, everyone will undergo a rapid antigen test.
The cruise company Carnival said the first cases on the ship were detected in the middle of a 12-day cruise. Their illness was mild or asymptomatic. After positive test results, all infected were isolated. The rest were advised to take precautions and wear masks.
