On Saturday morning, October 15, a rare meteorological phenomenon occurred in Heraklion, Crete.
A water tornado cut through the sky covered with thick clouds, just before a storm broke out in Heraklion.
According to cretapost, the cloudiness was so dense that it completely hid the island of Dia, which under normal meteorological conditions should be visible on the horizon.
As seen in footage posted by Giorgos Psimoulakis on Facebook, a spectacular waterspout appeared in front of the airport around 9:00 am.
Recall that the bad weather in Crete has already broken out with might and main. Severe storms “hit” Chania from early morning.
