New floating gas the LNG terminal at Revitus will be operational by the end of August, nearly doubling the capacity of the facility.
“The new tank is ready to receive the first shipments of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by the end of August. This will ensure the supply of our country with natural gas, most of which is used to generate electricity, and thus protect our country in the near future,” Minister of Environment and Energy Kostas Skrekas stressed.
“The Greek government has taken the necessary actions from the very beginning to protect our country from the unfavorable natural gas shutdown scenario next winter,” recalled Mr. Skrekas.
“We are grateful for the cooperation, it gives us the opportunity to provide energy,” said, in particular, DESFA Director General Maria Rita Galli.
The only thing left is the small, the gas itself, which is no longer enough for everyone, and what will happen in winter is completely unknown.
