An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale occurred last night in Cyprus.
The epicenter was located in the marine area of Cyprus, 56 km southwest of Nicosia and 22 km southeast of Paphos. According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the focal depth was estimated at 60 km, reports CNN Greece.
Earthquake data coming from the Geodynamic Institute of Athens and the European Mediterranean Seismological Institute are solutions that come from an automatic computer system, without the participation of a seismologist. As new data becomes available, they are constantly updated.
As our publication reported, January 28 at 5:57 am earthquake a magnitude of 4.9 woke up the inhabitants of Cyprus. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 57 kilometers from the city of Paphos. Its focal depth was 10 km. No damage or destruction was reported.
