Medvedchuk turned to Zelensky and Putin – asks to exchange him

The Security Service of Ukraine has published a video message from MP Viktor Medvedchuk, who was arrested without bail, to the Ukrainian and Russian presidents with a request for his exchange.

For the time being, the people’s deputy offers, in his opinion, an equivalent exchange of defenders and civilians of the blocked Mariupol, writes “Ukrainian Truth”. Source of the released video – SBU. In his address, Viktor Medvedchuk says:

“I, Viktor Vladimirovich Medvedchuk, want to appeal to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky with a request that the Ukrainian side exchange me for the defenders of Mariupol and the residents who are there today and have no way out through humanitarian corridors.”

About 120 thousand civilians remain in the blocked Mariupol, the resistance of its defenders continues – the 36th Marine Brigade, the Azov Regiment, and border guards. SBU detained Medvedchuk on April 12, head of department talked about the details his arrest. People’s Deputy is suspected of treason and attempted plunder of national resources.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that Russia exchange Medvedchuk for Ukrainian citizens who are held captive by the Russian military, and that law enforcement agencies of Ukraine consider such a possibility.

Viktor Medvedchuk’s wife Oksana Marchenko appealed to video message to the President of Ukrainelater – to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
