Masks expected to be canceled indoors

Greek health authorities are expected to start discussing under what conditions the relaxation of the mandatory use of masks in enclosed spaces can begin.

What will happen to those who have not been vaccinated? For them, everything remains the same. Visit restaurants and cafes, nightclubs and bars can only be vaccinated or have a certificate of illness. All indoor areas remain closed to those who are unvaccinated and who have not received a booster dose within the specified time frame.

As we reported earlier, the Greek authorities abolished the mandatory wearing of masks outdoors from Saturday 5 March 2022, but wearing masks is still mandatory indoors.

“Now we are in a period of de-escalation of the pandemic, not only in terms of the number of cases, but also in terms of the burden on the national health system, hospital bed capacity, serious illnesses and deaths,” said Dimitris Paraskevis, professor of epidemiology and preventive medicine at the University of Athens. .
