The star of Russian cinema Zinaida Kiriyenko died tonight

Sad news came this morning – on Saturday night, at the age of 88, Zinaida Kiriyenko died in the hospital.

The legendary Russian actress spent the last days of her life in the hospital: two days ago, she was diagnosed with an omicron strain of the coronavirus infection COVID-19, after which the actress was hospitalized.

The day before, Russian media reported that Kiriyenko had a hemorrhagic stroke, the body of the actress was partially paralyzed. Doctors assessed her condition as extremely difficult. The situation was complicated by the fact that earlier the actress struggled with pancreatic cancer.

According to the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, the date and place of the civil memorial service for the legendary artist will be announced later.

Zinaida Kiriyenko played at the Moscow Drama Theater on Malaya Bronnaya and at the Film Actor’s Theater Studio. The actress played the main roles in cult films: “Quiet Flows the Don”, “The Fate of a Man”, “Cossacks”, “Poem about the Sea”, “The Cure for Fear” and others.

Beloved student of Sergei Gerasimov, adored by the audience Natalya from the “Quiet Don”, Zinaida Kiriyenko was considered one of the most beautiful actresses of Soviet cinema. She was beautiful until her last breath.
