The platform emvolio.gov.gr today, Thursday, January 20, opened to register citizens for the 4th dose of the coronavirus vaccine. This affects approximately 500,000 immunocompromised people.
Citizens belonging to this category can now make an appointment if three months have passed since the 3rd vaccination.
“We once again clarify that the 4th dose of the vaccine is intended for people with a weakened immune system as a result of chronic diseases and those who carry out special treatment, aged 12 years and older,” said Maria Theodoridou.
It is also worth noting that now specialists in vaccinating children aged 5 to 11 years have begun their work on 26 islands of the country. These are Andros, Tinos, Ikaria, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Skiathos, Skopelos, Milos, Poros, Spetses, Kitira, Patmos, Ithaca, Symi, Skyros, Samothrace, Alonissos, Sifnos, Paxos, Ios, Amorgos, Kasso, Meganisi and Kastelorizo.
Vaccination of children will take place in polyclinics or multidisciplinary district medical facilities on January 28 and February 4. The appointment platform for these vaccination centers is now open and parents can make an appointment until January 25th.
