Replica of the ship Peter Ι the frigate “Standart” arrived at the port of Rafina

Surprised passers-by enthusiastically contemplated the historic frigate in the bay of the seaside town of Rafina, in the Attica metropolitan area. The frigate “Standart”, an exact copy of the first ship of the Baltic Fleet of Russia, moored to the pier.

The initial ship was laid down on April 24, 1703 at the Olonets shipyard, by order of Tsar Peter I. The replica of the frigate was built in 1999 and since then has been sailing the seas as a training ship.
